Default On Top of the World Questions

Hi, Everyone

My husband and I will be looking at places to rent or buy in On Top of the World (Ocala). It seems quite large (and confusing). Could anyone help with a few questions:

* Are communities like Candler Hills, Windsor, and Indigo East actually part of OTOW, or are they separate? Do they have their own gates and security?

* Is Avalon part of OTOW? Do buyers there own the land their house is on, or just lease it?

* Are the older parts of OTOW all villas? Again, do you own the land or lease?

* Are some/all of the houses and villas concrete block?

* What are the monthly HOA fees?

Sorry for sounding so clueless. We really know next to nothing about OTOW (even though we currently rent a place just across Hwy 200 in Oak Run). Any help you could give would be much appreciated. Thanks!

Yes Candler Hills,Indigo, and Windsor are all part of OTOW they share the health spa pool golf etc. Candler hills and Indigo also have their own pools that each are for their own development also.Indigo is across the street and has its own entrance with no guard just automatic gates and cameras.Candler and indigo are all concrete block construction.Old part is all villas and they dont own the land. Candler and Indigo all own their land. HOA fees are $188 now Going up tp $200 for 2008. This includes use of all pools gyms etc at OTOW but Candler and Indigo also have their own pools. Also Candler HIlls residents get reduced golf rates and free range use and no trail fees for golf at Candler Hills. Also plans for reduced rates for golf at stone creek Del Web when that opens. Avalon is part of OTOW but dont think they own their land

You'd be much better off looking at Stone Creek, which is just north of on top of the world off of 80th. Way better amenities, not nearly as large and confusing, better homes and much better standard features included in their homes, such as Corian countertops, stainless steel appliances, 42" cabinets, etc...all included in the base price. The amenity complex is something else! Well worth the look.
