Hurricane Andrew was at the time the third most intense hurricane on record to hit the United States and if you noticed what "was" standing after the storm were the houses built in the 1970's! I personally went to Homestead after the storms and saw the devistation and let me say this if you get a direct hit from a Cat 3 or higher I don't care what kind of house you have you will have dammage!
