This has very little to do with Florida, except for Dade-Broward-Palm Beach Counties.
I'm fed with every spanish speaker being called either hispanic or latin.
The history goes back to where else but Europe.

"LATIN"

Includes; Spanish, French, Portugese, and Italian. It is not the same as Latino. Latino means people of North, Central, and South America that speak Spanish. Italian is definiley latin because it was the offical language of the Roman empire and where Italian derived from.

Some unaware americans ofcourse couldn't care less but us Europeans who are race and history aware do give a damn. Once and still admired, historic empire that ruled the world vs. third world countries... It's like black on white and vice versa.

Then you probably need to speak to the government here because they are the ones who pushed the word "Hispanic" off onto the unsuspecting public. They use and the people use it. Get used to it.

It's more like I need to speak to the people who elect them.
Responsibility does a full circle, it begins from the people and ends there. There ain't no blaming for the government if the people are just that stupid.
