Hello!

About three years ago, I moved in with my parents in a coastal city between Miami and Fort Lauderdale and have been living with them ever since. At this point, I really would like my own place, but I cannot afford anything decent in this area. I am not looking for lots of space, luxury amenities, or glamorous nightclubs, restaurant, or shops. I am in my twenties, but I am a homebody. My goal is an affordable place (under $1000) in a clean, safe neighborhood/building. And there isn't anything like that in southeast Florida.

Anyway, my temporary assignment recently ended, and I was thinking this is a good time to look for work outside this area but still in Florida. I would love to get some suggestions. Also, I prefer an area that doesn't have a large Spanish-speaking population, since I don't speak the language.

Thank you in advance.

I'll say St. Pete, or St. Augustine. You're not giving us a lot to go on with your preferences. If you really don't care if there is ANYTHING to do in the area, or anyone to socialize with, you could get a clean and neat place in the middle of nowhere for very little in pretty much any region of Florida outside of SFL.

What kind of work do you do? Do you care if you are near the water or not? Do you have any hobbies outside of home that you would like to be near? Do you need a lot of young people around, to date or to hang out with? If you're really just going to hang out inside, then you can go anywhere your work can go, probably in any county North of Miami-Dade, or at least North of Broward.
