Exclamation I dun know..... sounds eggy.....or smells eggy

I have been through Titusville 3 or more times in the past 5 years and there seems to be reoccurring thoughts as I drive through
1. Doesn't seem to be a "Kid" friendly fun place to raise kids, seems slow and boring - Don't meen to offend - I f you like boring.
2. It smelled like rotten eggs..What's up with that....... 3. It seemed small I don't remember where it started and when the city started and when I passed it by...Was it the bridge before the ports..
3rdly. It seems like people brag about shuttle launches from their yards or streets... but last I checked it seems like that happens every couple of years or so..I may be wrong..But if thats true...Thats a LONG wait for a 2 or 3 min fun time....
Hey... If it IS a GREAT place then by all means let me know..I have 5 kids and I will be moving to FL in 30 - 60 days and would love to have reasons to move there compared to Gulf side......

I haven't been to Titusville in years, but a couple of friends of mine moved there from the Orlando area. I visited them a couple of times in Titusville before I moved away from Florida.

They lived in a subdivision off Route 50 called Windover Farms. I liked the neighborhood. It was like being out in the country, but the city limits of Titusville were just minutes away.

The town of Titusville is very sleepy. But my friends had children and had no complaints about Imperial Estates Elementary School. I kind of liked Titusville though. Sure, it isn't a fancy place but it seemed safe. If I knew more about Brevard County before I moved away from Orlando, I probably would have stayed and moved to Titusville or Port St. John. The local mall (Miracle City Mall) is nothing special, but getting to Merritt Island or Melbourne or even Orlando isn't that big of a deal.

I have a lot of fond memories of Titusville. I spent a good amount of my childhood there. I've thought about moving back but with the cost of gas it doesn't seem economical to drive back and forth between Orlando for work.

When did they put the target in and where is at? I havent lived in Titusville since 97 and the last time I visited was around 2000. Is Dixie still as good as it use to be?
