I just graduated from college and I am looking for a teaching job in Florida. Does anyone know how teachers are payed if they start mid-year? Will I be payed during the summer months if I am hired in January?

Check the following:Teach in Florida > Home
Florida Department of Education Directory (broken link)

survey: http://www.fldoe.org/ARM/files/Teacher_Pay_Review.pdf

I do have a friend that teaches in Santa Rosa County, some get a contract for specific time frame. Average entry salary $30K. I believe that they get paid, but not sure. The links might give you more info.

What is you desired location? This might help in getting a precise answer...
