Lightbulb Record cold to hit all Florida Wednesday

Northwest Florida will be in the low 20's maybe mid 10's tonight. Will be a cold night. But the rest of the state will be experiencing about the same.

The National Weather Service in Miami has issued a freeze warning for the interior portions of the state. Freezing temperatures are expected through 9 a.m. Thursday west of U.S. 441 in Palm Beach County and west of the Sawgrass Expressway in Broward County.

Take care of the plants and outdoor animals. Also check automobile tire pressure and if you have an old battery you might have to purchase a new one tomorrow. Get ready a cold one is on the way....

No kidding!!! It is getting down to 20 degrees for most of the night tonight here in Jax. Also, tomorrow is going to be a high of 48! They say tonight's low is a record breaker! We just finished tucking in our plants, cracking the garage door for the neighborhood cat, putting a log on the fire, and snuggling in for the night. BRRRRRRRRRrrrrrrrrrrrr.

Already 39 in Bunnell @ 8 p.m.

I'm worried about the pit bull puppies around the corner. The guy never lets them inside & doesn't look like he's been home in a few days. What should I do? He's got a lock on his gate or I would have sprung them earlier and brought them home.

Yeah, I seen some NWS "point" forecasts that show parts of northeastern (inland) Florida forecasted to be as cold as 14° tonight!

Also be sure to check your automobile coolant, to make sure your anti-freeze is up to par... pure water in the cooling system, with temperatures dropping below 20° could be catastrophic to your cars engine! It could burst the engine block, resulting in $$$$ repairs!

There's no mama. The dogs are about 3 mos. old, I'm guessing. Just drove over there & didn't see the babies, but they could be under the back porch.

I PM'd one of the PB mommies, who I think lives near here.

We are all in my big king size bed, the three cats are snuggled in enjoying the feather duvet and the heating blanket beneath it.

All three of my kitties were born here in the sunshine state and they get cold and LOVE to snuggle in weather like this.

I love living in Florida, this is as bad as its going to get.

That would be so nice! I'm moving to Florida as soon as I find a job. I live in Illinois now and we had a high of 14 today and today was the first day in about 4 days that it hasn't snowed. It is HORRIBLE!!!
The dogs that you were talking about will probably be fine. I know it sounds bad, but people leave there dogs outside here all winter long. I would never do that, but I have seen many that do and they are all fine.
