Hi all,

I'm planning a trip towards the end of March to see some spring training ball games, but also wanted to visit some nice beaches closest from Kissimmee.

Which beaches you would recommend where the waters are nice, clear and warm? It seems the more north along the coast, the more chilly the waters may be this time of year, but maybe I'm wrong. I've been in the Miami area before and dont wanna drive that far down, so hopefully there's some other great alternatives worth visiting I'm sure.

Thanks in advance!

The beach at 192 and A1A is nice and relatively warm and clean --- and convenient to Spring Training games out at Viera or within an hour of the Astro games. (We actually moved from Kissimmee to Satellite Beach in 1983 and lived directly on the beach in SB for about 10-years ... those are also nice, relatively warm, clean beaches (about 5-miles north and even closer to the games at Viera ... also within an easy drive of Boca). Of course, the water is a bit warmer later on, but, that all depends on what you, as a Floridian, consider "warm" -- The tourists love it!).

In the winter the surf temp south of the Cape is typically about 10 degrees warmer than the beaches north of the Cape. Big difference in Brevard and Volusia County in the cold months. Summer, not so much.

I too would recommend the beach in Indialantic, which is at the east end of US192. It's a nice little old-fashioned Florida beach town minus a lot of commercialization. It's a clean uncrowded beach with easy parking and has a good number of restaurants/bars to choose from too.

Why on the Atlantic side? The water is usually warmer on the Gulf side, and most of the spring training ballparks are in the Tampa / St. Pete area.

For some reason I assumed the gulf coast side would be colder because of how cold fronts blow through. But if Tampa/ St Pete has similar water temps I'm prob open to that too. But it does seem a tad further. I appreciate the feedback about beaches east/from 192 as that looks like a good option as of right now.

Not warmer in the winter. These were the surf temps day before yesterday. The difference will become greater in February. Thank you Gulf Stream.

great map.

Apparently the gulf side (at least during the winter) is colder than the atlantic side. Not warmer like someone claimed.

Cool map, so February may go down in temps some then? I may just have to make it down to the edge of west palm. Don't really feel like swimming in 68-70 water temps although I did that in SoCal. Want a little warmer
