Lightbulb Cab Dispute Leads To Gunfire At Outlet Mall

WOW, latest on CAB city.....

A shopping trip turned violent on Sunday when shots were fired at a local outlet mall.

It happened on Sunday afternoon at Orlando Premium Outlets, WESH 2 News reported.

Investigators said they believe it started with a fight over a cab fare. Shoppers said they had to duck to avoid the bullets.

Funny post Florigidge! I presently live in Philadelphia and here our newspaper writers wouldn't know what to do with themselves if it weren't for the crime reports.

Florida is Florida. What you hear is what you get. The houses are very close to each other so there goes the noise you are trying to avoid. Crime is bad here and all types of people do crime. You never know who is a criminal. There is no color or gender, it can be anyone doing the crime. There are still nice places left, but no one can aford them unless the make over $300,000 yearly. I own a home with a yard...but if I had to purchase this same home today I would not be able to afford it. Florida is a millionaires paradise, I do not fit in, I am not rich, but I play lotto and maybe some day I can aford more here in millionaires paradise. So be prepared to spend some money here. People are rude, my goodness life in the city makes people rude or something. I love to smile and people look at me like I am crazy. I even say hi to people here in Florida, I actually wave. lol Come on down, enjoy the sunshine because besides that and beaches nothing else is worth this place.

Ellyg,

The northwest area of the state is a bit different. Housing cost and crime are less. Our area still is a paradise compare to central or south Florida. Our houses are not butted to each other. Many folks are moving from the south because of the easy living...Our beaches have white sand and the water has an emerald color.... I won't say that we don't have rude people, but is not the norm....

Safety is overrated. If you want to live someplace totally safe, were people look and think like yourself, then plan to be bored. Or move to the Midwest. If you want to live somewhere where there are lots of good restaurants, a mall within a reasonable distance, and shops, then remember that these places are built on the backs of immigrants and minimum wage earners. Along with a low income fringe comes a certain amount of crime. You can't have it all. There are no exciting, fun places in America that don't have crime.

Default Lee County Murder is way up

Murder rate up 107-percent in Lee County Not counting the City of Cape Coral and the City of Fort Myers.
A tragic record has been set in Lee County. A new report shows more murders were committed in Lee County in 2006 than in any year in the county's history.

Excellent post , one of the best I have seen anywhere . People are absurd and there is crime in all areas of this great country of ours , and better to live here than stuck in North Dakota somewhere !!

Forigige,

Come on up to Sheridan Wyoming. We have crime here. Last year a high schooler blew up a mail box. We actually had somebody rob the local store. Cops followed the foot prints in the new snow and tracked them to their house.

We don't have a crime problem here. Least, not like other places. hahaha
