Are there any good neighborhoods in Miami-Dade County?
What are some neighborhoods in Miami-Dade County with little crime and houses from the $100,000 to $300,000 range. It seems as if most of Miami-Dade County is just crime infested. Feel me in on some good neighborhoods.

There are many nice areas in MD County, but I don't think $300K
is going to get you into one. Sorry...
The south side of the county, for most part, is the newer, but
the pricier part.
Good Luck

You can definately get a house in a decent are of North Miami or North Miami Beach (or any unincorpoated area surrounding - where we are) for under 300k!!! It's just not going to be a big new house on a large lot. But check realtor dot com type zips 33161, 33162, 33168(Biscayne Gardens or North Miami, not Opa Locka!) Wow- there actually are alot of nice ones in the mid 200's that are 3/2! (Hmmm - maybe our house didn't go up as much as we thought...! That's ok - we don't plan on moving!)
This whole area is nice - now it ain't ND , but there are very nice houses & people around here. It has a very large Haitian population so if you are racist, don't even consider Miami. Whites are seriously the minority here!
It's all spanish on The Beach, and certain areas south, black in the NW & Haitian in N Miami/N Miami Beach. The whites are in Aventura & also Mid Beach. Mostly wealthy Jews. But you can afford a house (can't guarantee the taxes & ins though... ) and it's nice!

If by house you mean single family home, then, apart from those north Dade neighborhoods mentioned, there is some small chance to find a SFH for less than $300,000 in Kendall and of course down in the Homestead area.
However, generally speaking, unless housing prices come down by more than 30% in the foreseeable future (up to 30% likely and already happening, more than 30% much less so), then you have to settle for a condo or townhouse. Even in that case, below $200,000 is rare and probably undesirable.
In my view, the "good" neighborhoods in Dade are Brickell and the roads, parts of Coconut Grove, Coral Gables, Pinecrest, Dadeland, South Miami, and parts of Kendall. But these are all pricey for the most part, especially Coral Gables.
Crime "infested" is probably an exaggeration, though in any case you must know a particular section well and of course take all common sense precautions with your property and person at all times.

well 100-300K is a big range, but 300K will get you a halfway decent house in deep south dade, try Homestead or Princeton areas.

Not all is crime infested & as a big county we have the good, bad areas & in betweens - there are choices for everyone. Coral Gables is nice & safe... though unfortunately, for that amount of money lately, it might get you a condo.

In todays real estate market, expect to pay from $200,000 and up for a 2/2 townhouse/villa in a decent neighborhood, and over $300,000 for a basic, older, single family home in a decent neighborhood in Miami. For a newer spacious townhouse with 3 bedrooms and 2 baths it will be closer to $300,000 and maybe even more. For a spacious 4/2 newer single family home in real good shape it can be close to $400,000 and more. Again, one has to shop around as there good deals to be found in what is turning into a buyers market.
From looking at real estate sales in newspapers, internet, that is a general ball park figure of todays market. It may change in a few months.
