Question Orlando Vs.tampa -your Opinions Please

Hello, we are considering relocating to one of this two cities:Orlando or Tampa.
We're coming from the NE and like the affordable home prices.
In Tampa it looks like the Westchase and Odessa areas are nice and Orlando Lake Mary ,Oviedo.
We have a 2 year old and need a safe area with good schools.
Also jobs, where can we find more opportunities?(my husband works in auto sells).Thank you in advance!

Well lake Mary and oviedo are great choices for schools and safe and The Orlando metro has a ton of dealerships take your pick.

I vacation in the bay Area once a year but don`t live there so can`t tell you alot but post in the Tampa forum.

Both cities are very similar yet have their own unique personalities. Honestly, I think the question is how important is enjoying the Florida beach lifestyle? If being near the water and doing alot of ocean recreation is important to you than you would probably want to choose Tampa. Tampa bay, Clearwater, St. Pete, the gulf are all beautiful and quintessential Florida. If that's not that big of a factor Orlando is great. The beaches are only 45 minutes away. Orlando has a healthy auto industry too. We have some higher end dealerships here, Ferrari, Maserati, Porshe and the standard dealerships here seem to do well. We also host the Central Florida Auto Show presented by the local dealerships here every year around Thanksgiving . It's always been a great show every time I've been. Hope that helps.
