thats eye opening, i didnt think it'd be that close.

i'm gonna do one on the NC forum to see how it compares.
I'm kind of curious to see how Georgia compares. Only Atlanta and Savannah have been seeing modest gains in population growth. The rest of the state (judging by the census estimates) has been stagnant since 2010.

For me, it would depend on where I'm moving to. The type of work that I do limits me to certain cities in what ever area that is employing me. I'm in Miami because of that, not because it's the city in Florida I most wanted to live in. I can accept living here, but I'm not so sure I can continue working for the company I'm working for when I can make so much more money elsewhere.

NC is 26% would leave, 74% would rather be in NC than anywhere else. Of the 24% that said they'd leave, it seemed mostly due to some type of politics. Too liberal or too conservative for their taste. And one or two said they'd love to live in San Diego if they could afford it (but dont we all? lol).

No, much better than "modest." If the trends continue, Atlanta and Savannah will show metro population gains of 17% to 19% for the 10-year census period 2010 to 2020. Not as good as some Carolina and Florida metros, but better than others in NC, SC, and FL. And by national standards, still way above average.

Well I moved here because I wanted to and there is nothing keeping here ......and unless God has other plans or other life things transpire ,as a GA native I'm more than happy to be here going into year 3 having lived in two different parts of FL.

Atlanta is the 7th fastest growing major metro area and the major population centers of GA (along with similar parts of SC and NC) are showing growth rates similar to what is seen in much of FL.

74% would not leave NC, 26% would leave. That's probably about as high of a percentage of folks wanting to stay in a state as you'll probably see.
