Default Vero Beach & Woodfield Info

We are thinking of relocating from NC to the Vero Beach area. We're looking at a place called Woodfield ... a 55+ community in VB. Any comments about the development and area it is in would be appreciated.
Also curious about beach and waterway access ... is there parking at the beach and is there a fee to use it? If we had a small boat would we have access to marinas or public launching areas?

I can only answer one of these questions. There is parking at every beach, they are always free, and they are never crowded.

Default fran

just wondering if you ever moved to vero beach and what you think of it or if anyone else can comment on the area. I am thinking of relocating there soon and would like to know what the community is really like. I am a 56 b year old divorced female who would be looking for a job in the tourist industry. would I be lost or at home here. looking into new housing in the area. actually saw the 55 and older complex but dont think i would want the restrictions involved. please comment

Vero Beach is a gorgeous place. My best advice would be to be sure you have the job before you move here - it has been hit by the current recession - tourist industry as well. Lots of rentals around here - don't discount the 55+ community as you may meet some nice people there - it helps when you first relocate.
