Thank you so much for that awesome advise and insight. We are growing a bit anxious to visit the area. You can read and talk to others but it doesn't really come into focus until you actually lay your eyes on it. We may plan our first visit sooner than May. Thank you again. I am just about to view the newspaper on-line as you suggested.

Is anyone familiar with Lake Kathryn in Lake Mary?...I am looking there to possibly relocate.

Pretty crazy looking at this thread and seeing rents of $1,200 back in 2008. Before the crash.

That's what rents were up to when I moved here in September, 2017. They've raised my rent a hundred bucks a month for 2018-2019 so I bought a Townhome instead.

I love Lake Mary, no crime, very clean literally a minute from my work. The Colonial Town Park (which might not have existed when this thread was made(?)) is a good place to go after work and attracts a lot of people for holidays. Other than that I'd say it's a relatively sleepy town (at least west of I-4 where I live) but Orlando is a really short drive and Lake Mary is right at the end of 417 which has never had bad traffic in my experience (sometimes accidents on the bridge do shut it down though)
