Default Leesburg/Mt.Dora/Eustis - need more info

Hi, I've been researching and also reading all the comments on this forum. Positives and negatives. I'm looking to move to an area with a lot of retirees & elderly, but also affordable living. The reason is I'm going to get work as a senior caregiver with a company that has a franchise office in Leesburg. I'm still gathering information so I don't know yet how far reaching their clientele live from Leesburg. The office would be headquarters for me, but not necessarily where I'll spend my time depending on clients. I also don't know how close all these communities are to each other as far as time getting between each.

I'm in my upper-40's and single. I have an Uncle & Aunt in Eustis who I plan on getting information from as well. And I've learned that Mt.Dora is listed as a great retirement place.

So in my initial planning stages, I'm looking for input on best places to live for someone like me. I don't have to commute to Orlando, I don't need good schools, I'm not much of a nightlife person, but like the idea of antiques in Mt.Dora and festivals, quaintness, parks or good places for walking and exploring, daytime activities, variety of restaurants, and basically someplace a single person will feel safe and enjoy neighbors. Thanks.

Yeap, Mt. Dora's the place.
Eustis has beautiful neighborhoods as well and some entertainment.

Thanks jbravo... good to hear I'm looking in the right direction. Do you think a single person with a single income will be able to find affordable housing in the area and still be in good company? (Initially rental)
