I really would like your help I and my family are thinking of moving to Florida I have a 9 yr old and we would like a nice family town or city to live in on the gulf side perferably near Tampa and also we are an interracial middle class family

I wonder the same thing....why not leave out the interracial aspect and just ask for a nice safe middle class area to raise kids in on the gulf? Makes me think that the poster thinks people will make it an issue when it reality HE/SHE is making it the issue.

In some locations it IS an issue. Some places are still caught in a time warp and aren't as progressive as society. Why do you have to take issue with an innocent post?

Being an interracial family is most definitely worth mentioning! If they wanted to move to my town, I would welcome them but I know many people who would not. I would sadly tell them to not move here. As s01 stated - some places are not progressive and this would be an issue.better .MAJOR1968 - I wish you the best of luck in finding your perfect place.

I would think St. Petersburg or Gulfport would be great areas.
I would say Tampa and Pasco less so, but I could be wrong.
I know some of the other posters are aghast you might assume there is any prejudice in Florida
Why not google Rhonda Storms or google news Mary Ann Hogan and make up your own mind.
