Someone mentioned that the chances being affected from a sinkhole are as few as being in a hurricane
I disagree using a hurricane as NOT to be a possibility
Living here in Miami has great chances especially as we are headed towards busy seasons for storms. So please get your examples straight
We have been affected by many hurricanes

The entire state has been affected by many hurricanes. They can and do hit anywhere in Florida. Miami isn't at any greater risk than any of the other coastal cities.

I agree I wouldn't live in a place that is extremely prone to sinkholes. I want to move to an area with a solid foundation! Maybe Texas might be a better place to look for retirement. I do want to live in a Republican State because in New York Democrats just made a law to kill babies at birth and call it an abortion! I am out of here asap! However, after reading all your comments, it doesn't change the facts about the sinkholes in Florida! They didnt even try to get the navy sails to save the guys life, just let him die, just let him be buried alive in a sinkhole. Is that what happens when people get sucked into a sinkhole in Florida?

Sinkholes are rare in most areas. Injury is even rarer. Have a couple of people died, yes, but you stand a greater chance of dying in an accident once you leave your driveway in FL or TX, so not a worry except in an specific area/neighborhood where a lot have occured. Remember the news only pushes bad stories and rarely mentions the small and meaningless sinkholes. Having lived in TX I can tell you that you are more likely to get run off the road into a ditch than have a problem with a sinkhole in FL.

Texas is definately the state for you. Florida is full of liberals from the northeast and the republicans here are all very old senile and dying off rapidly.
