def. east coast esp. if you are from the Northeast. My choice would be Boca Raton.

There are many neighborhoods in Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach counties that are great places for growing families. There are tons of things to do in this area and it is reasonably easy to get jobs.

Try the space coast. Great public schools and family oriented.

There are new homes in Pinellas county too, depends on what you are looking for though. If you like water and fishing and sports, Pinellas does have a lot on offer.
Get a realtor to do a search for you on homes that are built after 2000 - haven't looked today myself, but I'm sure there are lots. Eckerd College has summer camps for water sports, so do other organisations. Softball and Baseball is here a plenty. People fish everywhere even off the road bridges!

All depends on your income. Take in enough $$$$$ and paradise is assured wherever you go.
