I currently live in deltona and am moving, I don't like where deltona is going. The crime rate is rising, there is constant contruction. New publix's, shopping centers, and homes left and right. The real estate market has slowed down so houses are getting cheaper, but the crime is definetly still rising. I have lived in deltona for 20 years. Yes i grew up there. And i really dont like what is happening recently. Does anyone know where some safe or even undeveloped places in central Florida to live are? (Sorry not the best grammar was used.)

Cities that HAVE been safe for many years and probably won't take any sudden turn in Central FL are Lake Mary, Oviedo, Winter Springs, Safety Harbor, Ormond Beach, Port Orange, Dunedin, Rockledge, and many more.

BUT, for undeveloped, this is a very big state. Some of these cities meet your criteria while others have a population density that can compare with SE Florida, but just happen to have low crime.

if i were moving to fla, central fla especially, i'd wouldnt move to the orlando area, period. not oviedo, not lake mary or winter springs. you dont know what it's gonna be like in 10 or 20 yrs. the way orlando is changing, i'd pick a place like lakeland or winter haven, sebring or lake placid, etc... before i'd move to sprawlando

places change man.

Default Winterhaven...

didn't look too good the last time we drove through there. I'd say in Central FL it would be Inverness, Port Richey, Weeki Wachi/Spring Hill, and surrounding areas.

YUCKK!!!!!!!! That is Florida's WORST city in every way imaginable! It's probably nice because it's over 90% white though, judging the vibe of the forum. Never mind 38 sex offenders to 1 live there. That means literally every time you go out side and shop you will see a sex offender. Not only does it have high crime, that town is just a dump with nothing going for it.
