Is Computer/Software coding an in-demand job in FL? I keep reading different things and would like to know first hand from the people who actually live there. TIA!

I always see plenty of coding jobs but the answer to your question depends on the city, industry and the kind of coding you're looking for. Also, do you have security clearance? That in itself opens up an entirely different spectrum of lucrative possibilities.

There's always a demand for coding no matter where you go, hence why it pays so good! But as HeartofFlorida said, it all depends what industry and city you are looking. I think it would be safe to say any metropolitan city in Florida will have a demand for coders, just check out Careerbuilder.com and that should give you a good estimate.

The easiest thing to do is to get a software job, work from home and then move to Florida.
