I came so close to taking a job there. A couple interviews with some real clowns and looking at the area in terms of what was there, what was nearby, etc. I really feel like I dodged a bullet there.

To quote a realtor (who admittedly was talking about a different area) "this is an entire town with bad curb appeal".

Ask the people of Brandon what there is to do, and you essentially get the answers of, "Drive to Tampa, which is close by if you don't count the traffic!" and "Go to Pinellas, which isn't as close by!"
