The panhandle isn't a monolithic place and ranges from really really nice to 'please can we just give that place back to Alabama and let them deal with the mess?'.

Of course Sarasota has trashier areas. Check out the North Trail (motels, drugs and hookers) and Newtown. They just like to pretend they don't, and it is a very segregated city.

Actually Comsense/Trusses I live in a nice area in Miami, maybe when you lived in South Florida you lived in Riviera Beach but that's not the case for many of us. Here in South Florida we have many services you won't find in other parts of Florida. I know you have been bashing South Florida for the past 8 years because of its high hispanic population but you are not fooling anyone. Anyone who can afford a nice area in South Florida can live a very comfortable life. They don't need to worry about having to travel to other areas to get medical care, entertainment or shopping. We also have large police and fire departments.

I don't know anything about the Panhandle but based on what I read here, it seems Panama City is not a great place to live.

No, I didn't live in Riviera Bch, I lived in Royal Palm Bch. A lot of RPB is a dump now too tho, sadly.

I could afford to live in South FL (likes thats some type of accomplishment or reward, right? lol) but I'm good, thanks.

Nobody is inviting you. My point is that if you(General you, not you Comsense) can't afford a nice area here, you will probably be miserable but those who can afford middle class areas live fine.

For the record I wouldn't mind living in Orlando, Sarasota or Jacksonville as long as it is not Pine Hills or a similar neighborhood but places in the middle of nowhere like Inverness, Ave Maria, Belle Glade or Perry? I don't think so.

I lived in Orange City 2001-2004 and Deltona seemed a very nice area, but I have heard it's changed a lot, and not for the better. I have been told that the gang problem is very real now.

^ Deltona stinks. You'd have to be insane to move there.
