My wife and are planning to relocate to Brevard County. We absolutely love the area and it sure beats the daily stress of the DC metro area. I have been doing Internet searches for jobs, applied numerous times, but have had no luck. Can anybody offer some assistance on how to get a "foot in the door"? I have a Finance undergrad. degree and an MBA. I have applied to NASA and the many Defense/Aerospace firms in the area but have heard little to nothing in return. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Well I too have been job searching in Brevard, I live here. I relocated from Martin county. I have been looking and applying since October, don't hold your breath because very few will call you back. Most of the problem is when you apply on line (the thing to do today) you have no contact person to call. Good luck with your job hunting, and yes Brevard is nice.

Check the following link: NationJob Quick Search Search for job fairs and if you are interested in government contractors jobs visit the companies sites and post your resume. Word of advise, sometimes your experience and degrees can work against you. Normally I will associate you with a senior manager position. One approach that seems to pay dividends is for your prior employer to submit a letter of recommendation to the company that you posted your resume. This can be the selling point for someone to call you back. I work for one of the top 10 GOV contractor companies in the USA and we have received a few letters making recommendations and our managers have call and ask about the individual. Normally the letter is from a senior manager and someone will review it... |
