Why is the discussion being derailed into a topic that is totally irrelevant to the OP? If people do not know about NJ's political makeup, that is up to the NJ forum to help them with. This is about FL. And the point is, if these people care very much about politics or moral issues, they should consider those beliefs before selecting a location in FL, because some areas have strong leanings one way or the other which might not fit well with their concerns.

It doesn't matter WHAT state the people come from, what matters is the location that they select in FL, and how well it fits the things that matter most to them in their lives. And at the moment, the only thing we know about these people is that they're retired.

My original question pertained to whether or not the politics as someone suggested would make a difference as I would never be happy in The Villages- which someone suggested.

Considering some the length of some of your posts, I would have thought you could have overlooked 3 or 4 sentences about the state these folks were coming from without throwing a hissy fit.
