fort myers, or fort lauderdale?
hi. i am hoping to move to wonderful and friendly south florida within the next decade (preferrably no later than the year 2013). now, from what i have seen, housing seems to be not as expensive on florida's west side as it is on florida's east side, but i have heard rumors that fort lauderdale has nice doctors. and having allready been to fort lauderdale myself, i had a very great experience there. also, i do have a disability and earn social security, so, i will have to go through a center for independent living for people with disabilities. now, where i would like to live would not be in a hurricane evacuation zone, would not be in an area that i would likely have 5 feet of water in my house during/after a hurricane, not in a crime/drug infested neighborhood, and not some flimsy mobile/trailer/manufactured/wood frame house that would come crashing down on me in a hurricane. anyone with advice, feel free to tell me your opinions. (i have allready had great experiences in south florida so you can't tell me that rude people are "many and close between" down there!)
