University of Miami is probably the most selective out of colleges on the coast, it is private.. but if you are coming out of state you might want to look into UM because they will be the most flexible with financial aid.

In addition to the previous ones mentioned, here in NEFL we also have:
UNF, University of North Florida. It's located less than 15 minutes from the ocean: University of North Florida Right up the street is our community college, FCCJ, Florida Community College of Jacksonville: florida community college at jacksonville
