No, it isn't. Tallahassee, Live Oak, Jacksonville reminds nobody of Oregon or California. Miami reminds nobody of Portland. You don't have the same weather. You don't have the foliage, and you don't have the same culture. Also, the South is not monolithic. It would do you best to understand that.

The panhandle and gulf coast, down to Citrus county is more Southern. Further down it is mixed Southern and Midwestern. The Atlantic side is more East Coast, yet only some areas are exclusively one why. It is not like the West coast States.

The people though. Floridians are not southerners. Culturally they are more similar to west coasterners. Mississippi is most socially regressive state in our union. Florida is nothing like that.
