Smile Fanning Springs & Levy County, Florida

We have made plans to relocate to Fanning Springs, from Arkansas. Would
appreciate any comments about the area. We are retired and love the water
and outdoors. Thanks for your input.

Levy County is on the opposite coast to Jacksonville (Jax is east coast), so I'm going to move your post to the general "Florida" forum....hopefully you'll get more feedback there.

That's pretty rural out there, IMO. So depending on where in Arkansas you're coming from, the rural area may suite you just fine. And you're always pretty close to the amenities that Gainesville has to offer.

I live in Bronson which is about 20miles south of Fanning and still Levy County. It is pretty rural here but you will be close to Chielfland it has a few restaurants and a super Wal-Mart. Gainesville would be about a 50 min drive but it offers much more amenities. Unless you are use to big city living, you should like it just fine out here! Have you checked into homeowners insurance, I would guess in that part of Levy County it would be much higher. Welcome to Florida!
