In my area and i am on the gulf it is like true hell. When we are stuck in a reverse west windlfow with lows around 82 and dewpoints of 72 to 82 it is like being slapped in the face when you walk outside. No matter what time of day, it feels like hell.

I appreciate all the comments. I agree each person is different. I was thinking that wearing a lot of clothing would contribute to it, but if it was real bad no one would go to Disney World, Busch Gardens and similar in the Summer. Being close to the beach makes sense also as wind in that area also cools you a bit. This is why we are looking close to a coast and prefer the east Coast and near Melbourne and that general area though our next visit will be to Tampa.

Yes when it gets into the dew points above 70 it is really sticky, but that is generally only July and August (Actually mid July to mid Sept). It is the other months I am asking about.

Here are the dew points for St Pete as an example showing the high and low dew points. June is kinda in between as is September. If it drops below 70 it is much better and the high and low do fluctuate each month. Having the Humidity up in those months is of no help.

South FL is worse and Northern FL is not as bad. Six months it is below the oppressive point, and two are almost always in it and 4 can vary from bad to OK.

I lived in South Florida for over 25 years and I can tell you the heat and humidity is not as bad along the coast vs. the deep south or Northeast, you will sweat bullets in the Sun doing any physical activity, but their is almost always a Sea Breeze.
