I could not agree more! You really hit the nail on the head with this post. The whole country is changing - it is not just Florida. Nothing is the same as it was 20 years ago.

Fun fact: the number of new non-chain restaurants is growing faster than at any time in the last 20 years. In fact, IIRC, the growth rate for independent restaurants has beaten the growth rate for chain restaurants this year for the first time since the rates started being recorded in the 70s.
