Hello

I recently relocated to the Tampa area (New Tampa) and I am having the toughest time getting a job let alone an interview. I am seeking work in the project management field as either a project manager or an project coordinator. I have over 9 years as a project coordinator working in the Healthcare and IT fields and I am working on my Masters degree in Business. No criminal record or history.

A very marketable person but for some reason I am struggling, if anyone have any openings at their workplace that would be great. Or if anyone has the authority to interview that would be even better.

Thank you in advance

God Bless.

Sorry to hear of your troubles finding work and know what that is like personally when I was downsized out of a job back in 2009. Probably what you're not wanting to hear, but have you considered moving? As is becoming painfully aware to you there are very little professional level jobs in comparison to those looking for them in Florida and many employers may figure with your lengthy experience you won't settle for the comparatively piddly wage they're offering versus other states. Cities like DC, Baltimore, Atlanta, Raleigh-Durham and Houston are doing very well with much higher salaries right now. You might even do a little bit better in the Miami-Ft Lauderdale-West Palm Beach or Jacksonville areas which are more diverse economically than what we see in Central Florida.

Have you checked out government job listings? County, state, etc. Those are very good jobs with good benefits if you can get one. My husband works for Hillsborough County and it is a great job. He is an architectural project manager.

Thank you all for replying I appreciate you.

Yes, I am working with a ton of staffing agencies. They always call me with opportunities and I apply for them but no interviews come out of them.

This is not usual for me. It seems like Florida is a "Who you know" type of town compared to "What you know".

I will continue looking and praying. Something with come along because as always, my God will provide for me.
