If you think Florida doesn't have its share of white trash (transplants AND natives) you are in for a very rude awakening.
Yup. Let's not ignore the facts. How can someone think this kind of stuff does not go on in FL? It's one of the things the state is known for.

This is how crazy things have gotten in the northeast. I can understand why FL natives don't like people from "up nawth" and NYer's (this town is about 90 mins east of NYC). But can you see why people are leaving in droves? PEZ company headquarters decided to host a free Easter Egg Hunt and chaos ensued - a 2 year-old pushed into the mud, a 4 year-old left bloodied - WTF? They had a free Easter Egg Hunt yesterday in Wellington as well. Unfortunately my 3 year-old was sick and we missed it, but I'm pretty sure it didn't end like this one. I know that things like this can and do happen everywhere. And I know that a lot of crazy sh&* happens in Florida, but it just seems like people up there have gotten angrier and angrier over the past few years. Such negativity and intolerance of others. An attitude of "you're in my way" and sense of self-importance and entitlement. You could not pay me to move back to CT. I LOVE Florida sooooo much and have never been happier since I've moved here. And I apologize for the Northerners who bring this attitude and behavior with them to Florida. They've actually been conditioned to believe that this is an appropriate way to behave. It's pretty sad, really. Makes me ashamed to tell people I'm from the north.

On a happier note...HAPPY EASTER to everyone!!!
What's any of that got to do with people moving to Florida?

I'd take those comments with a grain of salt, considering the source.
It's a great way to dissipate information to keep people from moving to their beloved area.

Especially by those who have no first-hand knowledge of the state.

I thought the TITLE and INITIAL POST were fairly clear, but thanks for your attempt at paraphrasing. I can tell by your confused emoji that reading comprehension is not your strong suit. A+ for effort though.

A lot of people seem to be under the belief that FL is the only state where anything happens. If an incident
happens once in one place they think it's a statewide common occurrence. In FL if one guy shoots and wounds 3 people its like the sky has fallen but when 300-500 random slashing attacks happen in NYC nobody blinks an eye. It seems to me that anything that happens in FL becomes national news but if the same thing, or worse, happened in Utah, nobody would hear about it. Take for instance the story about a woman who accidentally glued her eye shut with super glue in some small FL town. It became national news! Thousands of these type of incidents happen all over the country but they are never heard about. But why should such mudane happenings be news regardless of where it happens except of course if it happens in FL.
