I've never been to FL, I'm just a curious person who likes to learn alot. I saw a post on CD that said "south Florida is a mix of the NorthEast and the carribean". Is this true? I'm not interested in hearing about the carribean I fully understand why people emigrate there from that region. I'm interested in why is it so much people from the NorthEast? Is that even true? Why the NorthEast and not other regions like northern Florida transplants, or, southwest transplants?

Palm Beach and Broward counties are loaded with northeast transplants... a lot of new jersey/new york/Pennsylvania/Maryland/Massachusetts people.

Why? probably a combination of weather and growing up visiting grandma in Boca...

I grew up in Cleveland OH. Lived most of my life in Tidewater VA. Most recently lived in central PA, and we just moved to the SE region of FL.

Why?

First, I wanted to be near the ocean.

Second, it's freaking COLD in PA.

Third, I'm 2 hours from Disney!
