Safety compared to other Big Cities?
I may be moving to Miami, we'll see. I've read many posts complaining about the crime. I was wondering if those who have live other places feel that it is more or less dangerous than other big cities. Thanks.

Depends where in Miami and what section of another city you are compariing it to. If your comparing the Isles with the upper East Side or even Grammercy Park in Manhattan, they would both be pretty comparable I would think.
Where in Miami?

In Florida it is OK to shoot someone under the new law. so all you have to do is get a permit and a gun and your all set.

It has always a right to defend your home and property from imminent harm in most states. It is not OK to simply shoot someone under any law.
Further, you do not need a permit to own a gun in Fla. You need a permit to carry however.

The law will let Floridians "meet force with force," erasing the "duty to retreat" when they fear for their lives outside of their homes, in their cars or businesses, or on the street.
You might want to learn the law in Florida. Under the old law, a person who killed someone in their home had the burden of proof to show that they were in fear for their safety. Now, all a person has to do is establish that the person they killed was "unlawfully" and "forcibly" entering their home when they shot the victim.

I'm well aware of the law and have a carry permit. And you?
How is this relevant to the topic?
