Have you ever been to FL???

If not you cannot know enough about it to make a judgement. It is the 3rd most populated State in the US so a few people like it.

I think you took the OP's comment the wrong way: if someone has memories of FL from 50-60 years ago, they will be in for a shock regardless of how much they may end up liking it...or not.

Default OP here...

My fiancé and I had a discussion (he brought it up first) that it would be better for me and our son -- and I agree -- for me to wait until he is in Kindergarten for me to try to find work here and also that his education is paramount, that moving to Florida is just not practical. Glad my fiancé came to his senses...

Why would education be a problem with moving to Florida? Just choose where you live wisely. We have excellent school here.
