NPG, thx for the feedback, will be checking out the area this weekend. My husband is in love with the Naples area, but I am hoping once he sees the Pinellas area with our ability to afford water access AND be under an hour to an airport with direct flights to major west coast destinations he will change his mind. Plus we are not into the money scene at all and I could see a bit of that in Naples.

CTtoFL, yes did it in a day and didnt leave for Naples until 10am . And I cant believe I never really looked at the map either . The ride on the Sawgrass and 75 is very nice, great road (unlike the 95) and pretty trees / scenery. I even detoured to check out this out of the way planned community called Ave Maria that had some crazy inexpensive real estate (but too far from airport and beach for us). Drove by some really beautiful foresty parks and a panther reserve. We are cyclists so plan on a trip back. Who knew all this was so close

Personally I am not a fan of the southern half of Pinellas County, except for a few specific places. The north half of Pinellas County is really, really nice from Safety Harbor, Countryside, Oldsmar up to Dunedin, Palm Harbor/East Lake, Tarpon Springs. Of course the beaches are great all the way down. JMO & YMMV

No, it won't be. I am a die-hard Pats fan, but I also love the Packers. Who wouldn't?

Cowboys fan here. I come by it honestly, I am Texas born.
To be truthful, I really don't follow football all that much. Or any sports for that matter.
