I sure hope they can free up Cuba. Someone that has around 3.5mil can build a nice go fast 120ft Cat than can do 35 knots and get to Cuba in under 3 hours from Keywest.

We do this on occasion and it is nice! The views are awesome! Ocean Reef in Key Largo also has a GA runway. I remember back when Marathon was an airport for commerical flights and not GA. We flew Eastern Airlines one year to Marathon when I was a kid.

Starfish, real estate is up all over Florida especially in resort areas.

I have done plenty of fishing around the Fort. Pretty water and plenty of people would like to fish in the area of Cuba.

Or tourists may choose to skip the Keys altogether and fly direct to Cuba from Miami, Fort Lauderdale, Chicago, Philadelphia and Minneapolis-St. Paul.

Not sure I'd consider Ocean Reef a "GA" airport. It's private.
