Thumbs down Are you thinking of moving to Pensacola, FL?

You may want to rethink your move and move somewhere else. I moved here from Texas, have been here four months. I hate Pensacola. Low wages, high crime rate, the number of homeless here is staggering, high unemployment , high cost of living. Pensacola? It's not worth moving here.

We hated Pensacola, lived there for a year. I found it boring, too much religion, too conservative, and the poor areas on the edge of town are appalling.

Out of all the places we have lived, Florida and otherwise, I put Pensacola at the very bottom.

Sorry you are having a bad experience in Pensacola. We are just curious if you researched or visited the area before moving?

The NE side was were I lived and enjoyed it.

I did like Gulf Breeze more, but that may just be the grass is greener complex.

I lived in Gulf Breeze 15 years ago. I personally didn't like Florida's bugs, fire ants, mosquitos, etc, plus the fact that sand is always in the carpet of the car, or house...yuck! BUT between Pensacola and Gulf Breeze....GB hands down!
