Back to Florida... average person who moves to the state stays 4 years.

334 casinos according to whom? Actually, I don't care. Because whatever the source is, it's BS.

A casino is anywhere there is gambling. Consequently, if there's slot machines in a room, that is a casino. Like I said, in Vegas there are big casinos, small casinos, grocery store casinos, gas station casinos, airport casinos, fancy, ghetto, suburban, exurban, etc. There is a casino (a room/area/building with slots, card games or other gambling going on) on most street blocks in Vegas (and Nevada), period. If you don't like my definition of "casino," please direct your complaint to Merriam-Webster, not me.

https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/casino

IMHO, the Aria casino on the Strip is equal to the exurban Red Rock casino in Summerlin is equal to the Vons grocery store with 30 slot machines is equal to the airport is equal to the suburban shopping center with WHATEVER NAME Casino and Resort. They are all casinos.

I don't consider a convenience store with a slot machine a casino and I'm sure most people don't.

No need to get nasty.

Yeah, because having 30 slot machines in a grocery store or in a gas station is totally normal. Maybe for Nevadans.

As a matter of fact, supermarket casinos have been expanding over the past 5-10 years in Vegas as they are major money-maker. Golden Gaming operates THOUSANDS of slots and other video gaming machines at Vons, Smith's, Albertsons and other grocery and convenience stores in Nevada. Many of them now have salons for gaming with modern decor and servers.

You are definitely not the only one. I have been here about 28 years and the only reason I stay now is because of my grandson. I want to be close to him. He lived with me from the day he was born til about 2 weeks ago when his mother and her fiance moved in together, getting married in about 12 days. There is nothing here for young people to do except get into trouble. Subdivisions are a difficult thing to get away from. Instead of buying up empty properties, developers tear down our green and build new homes. Everybody likes new apparently. I would love to move back to NC and we had planned to but then my daughter met her fiance. She may talk him into it yet but not so far. There are far too many empty commercial buildings however they never get used, they are continually building new ones. They don't seem to get the fact that commercial buildings left empty tend to bring the community standards down and then you get a lot of thugs hanging around and it is no longer safe to drive through these areas. Use these buildings. For instance in Volusia county they are going to spend millions of dollars purchasing a piece of property just outside of Daytona Beach to build a building to house the homeless. In one half hour drive around town I can tell you of about 10 different empty buildings that could be used for that where these people could walk to get food and jobs. Where they are going to build, these people will not be able to get to a location for food or jobs. It is all about the money. The officials want bigger better and they are willing to take the money of the developers and do what they want rather than listen to the people they serve. Which is exactly why the people who live along the coast of Volusia county can no longer drive on our beaches and some parts are even blockaded to prevent you from getting onto that section. Yep hotels can now buy the beach that belongs to everyone. I hate it here, but at 67 years old it is difficult to do anything different. I feel your pain and hope that you find the resources to perhaps transfer your last two years of college and just get out. There are actually more people moving out of Florida now than there ever has been. Good luck to you.
