Hello all,

I am in need of some information concerning school districts/schools (public or private) that do allow free play in their kindergarten curriculum. I am a kindergarten teacher with 6 years experience new to Florida. Current district I am with doesn't allow free play or even recess. please give me any information that would be helpful as I determine where next to take my career. Thanks.

Montissori.
Waldorf.

Get out of public schools. There is no such thing as free play. Heck, if the kids have gym, they don't get recess that day.

You might be better off posting this in the Education section.

You should really look into schools that have a Montessori curriculum. I would use google to find these schools and see if there are any openings. It is very unlikely that you will find a public school that is following that curriculum due to the pressure that Florida State and common core programs have imposed on the local school districts.
