I've read this forum and there's a lot of good info. I've got a recruiter trying to talk me into a job in Bonita Springs. I currently live in Sacramento, CA and would consider a change - no decision made yet.
I'd like some tips on the best place to live near Bonita Springs. Here are my details: Pay = $100K Rent not buy I'm 43, wife is 35 We are adopting a child from China in next year, we are caucasian Not a lifelong move, maybe 2 - 3 years We like golf, bike riding, lead relatively simple (i.e. boring) life We'd like a few younger people around but aren't going to be shocked if there are some retired folks in the neighborhood! I've read enough about Naples to be concerned that it isn't the right place, nor is Ft. Myers. Just throwing this out there to get some ideas from people who really know the area. Thanks for any info! |

You should be fine down here. You already have a job, there's a ton of houses for rent at affordable prices, lots of golf and bike riding, and there are (shockingly!) quite a few young people in this area. I'd take a week and visit first, of course, but I think you'll do fine down here. Just make sure you can handle a lot of heat and humidity.
