Well, we had quite a surprise yesterday since moving to Florida in June. I went into my garage to retrieve a tool and out from underneath my car slithers a four and a half foot alligator! I turned around and headed back into the house, closing the garage door to contain the gator.

I called Animal Control and they sent a couple of gator trappers to our house. They snagged the guy, tied his jaws together, tagged, measured, and carried him away.

Quite a bit of excitement that made our week! Welcome to Florida!

I know I would've freaked out! LOL After seeing some that are larger, out in their natural habitat on those boat tours, I do know how big they can get

I think any size would make me flip out

Meh lol Not unusual, u live near a lake/pond/canal? We had several in our pool growing up, along with a snake under our couch cushion from leaving the doors/windows open on a nice day. We only discovere him when I kept complaining someone was kicking from under the couch.. snakes don't like to be sat on.

They usually find their way along. Several months ago I had a possum in my garbage can. Poor guy must have been in there all day. I tipped it over and he was on his way. I wouldn't have even batted an eye at this guy. Bet he woulda walked out with the push of a broomstick.
