I currently live in Citrus county, work in Spring Hill (Hernando Co) and have a boat racked in Palm Harbor. Looking for suggestions on neighborhoods from
Sugarmill Woods to Trinity. Would love gulf access, but there are really nice homes next to trailers or unkept homes (areas in Weeki Wachee on river, Hudson & Hernando Beach.) Spring Hill seems congested. Since gulf access is probably out of reach I'll probably look for deed restricted, no back neighbors , close to Suncoast, around $300,000. |

What about Spring wood Estates, homes are nice, the plots are big and it is right near the suncoast pkwy.

Is that Hernando or Pasco? I couldn't find info on it.

Glen Lakes is nice though the monthly association and maintnance fees are rather high.
The Suncoast would be about 6-7 minutes away and it is 10-12 minutes to Hernando Beach if you wanted to move your boat there. I am guessing though if you live in Citrus now and don't keep your boat there there is a reason to have it in Palm Harbor. Woodland Waters is also nice and the same distances from the water and Suncoast as Glen Lakes but low HOA fees. You can also get something like this picture house on Hernando Beach for under $300K (Not My Listing so I don't believe this is considered advertising) Mod deleted Last edited by sunrico90; 02-24-2008 at 09:19 PM. Thank you, Mike. We drove through Woodland Waters yesterday. Very nice area. Going to look at Autumn Oaks. Even though we are new boaters, we heard there was more to see around Palm Harbor- Honeymoon Island, Caledesi, Clearwater. Now, if we can just find the time to take the boat out! What about knowing where the deep water is for canal properties, or river properties? We have to have at least 3 ft. and the only thing bad about Hernando Beach & Hudson, is so many unkept rental properties, or unkept properties, period. We have only had our house up for 3 weeks.

Autumn Oaks in my opinion can not compare to Woodland Waters but there are some nice homes there.
Boating around Pinellas is nice, I am more in it for the fishing though. As far as water depth is concerned you should not have too much problem in most of the canals off the Weeki Wachee or Hernando Beach but when you find a property you are interested in you will just need to take a boat ride in at low tide and check the whole trip. We used to be one canal off the river and while our canal was deep and no problem in the river but there was a 20 ft stretch between our canal and the river that you could not go through at low tide. Do you have a sailboat? |
