I dont think this is gonna happen. No property taxes in Florida? Not a chance. Lower property taxes and homestead raised to $50k? Perhaps.

We have the same weather without the intense cold and snow. We also get millions of tourists. I would not reccomend you move to Florida, you wont be happy there either. I suggest Georgia.
Theres multiple posts about the insurance crisis. If we have another 100%+ hike, house prices will drop 25% overnight and keep going down from there. My parents will be forced to cancel insurance(they can because they own free and clear) houses wont sell well and wont sell for much because people will need to buy 100% down to go uninsured.
