Wish I had a few pics of today. Had some personal business to take care of in Ft Lauderdale and on the way back the Wife and I stopped at Skyline Chili, ordered up a couple of Coney's with cheese for me, a couple without cheese for the Wife, couple of sweet teas and headed over to Ft Lauderdale Beach where we parked and woofed down those conies on the beach.
Beautiful day on Ft Lauderdale beach and although it's become too crowded of a city for me to want to live in again ( spent almost half my life there ), it's still one of the greatest places in the country to visit.
And the Conies are over the top

Ohhhhhhhhh.
Love the birds,Shores. I have not yet been able to get a pic of a Great White. I've had the opportunities, but blew it every time.
Here is sort of a squadron of pelicans. They were in the beginning of getting organized when I snapped the photo.

These pics are from Thanksgiving week - the Indian Rocks Beach, Clearwater, St. Pete Beach area. Forgot which are from which exactly, except for the obvious one that says Johns Pass (I have 2 more I'm sending next- would only let me do 5 at a time). Hope you like them!!!

Mr. Tudo: The Conies aren't over the top. The dogs on CONEY ISLAND are over the top.
Everyone in this country is looking for a pseudo-experience.
It's like we bought into the animotronics at Disney and are now looking for that. Heck, Celebration, Florida, a town created by Disney turned out to be a nightmare!
Maybe we all should go looking for REAL experiences!

Coney Island is about to change completely. If you have the chance, go see it before the end of next summer. A large developer bought Astro World, one of the last amusement areas left at Coney. He's planning a 1.5B overhaul, which means they may tear down the Cyclone and/or relocate it, plus most of the other rides are toast. The only good thing I know of at this point is Nathans is supposed to be safe for now!
