SHORES9, YOU TAKE BEAUTIFUL PHOTOS!

If you don't mind me asking, what kind of camera do you use? Are most of your photos touched up at all, or is that exactly how the camera shoots them?

Boardwalkdream9 – Thanks - to answer your questions I use a Nikon D50 Digital SLR combined with various lenses. My most frequently used lens is a 12-24 F4 wide angle zoom. On occasion I have had to color balance or crop a shot but I rarely re-touch the pictures other than to decrease the file size for faster uploads.

Glad you like em Shores9

Sometimes the "accidental" picture turns out better than the real one would have been. Ooo! Heavy thought there - just like in life. Oh, my! I need to rest after that bit of philosophy. ;-)

Shores9. My son recently became a photography buff and I just asked him what camera he had. He's got the same thing as yours but that 12-24 F4 lens....well, he says he'll have to save for several years for that! Well, maybe his pics will look as nice as yours someday Right now, I still like yours better.

I used to take a lot of pictures when I was younger - 35mm with all kinds of equipment but still just an amateur. I put the camera down for about 15-20 years and I started up again a few years ago. I think it was the best thing I could have done.

I’m still an amateur at best but I have come to realize that there are so many great moments to remember. I take pictures that I think are interesting, things that for one reason or another catch my eye. Usually they involve color, nature, or scenery and usually I’m taking 25-50 shots hoping to get 1 or 2 good ones.

The best part is once you captured that picture you can keep it for ever

Nooresnow - I really like the pictures I take because I take the pictures that I like and that just may be the key – I’m really happy to share and have others them enjoy them. Thank you

It isn't that we haven't seen beautiful or fascinating sites and scenery, but we just didn't take the pictures to prove it.
Judlea – Your shots are also beautiful – I think it’s a matter of shooting what you like. Your comment above could not be more appropriate – we are so fortunate to have this beauty around us almost everywhere – everyday!

Vpcats – I think it has more to do with the desire to enjoy the life around you and capture the moment than the equipment (which will come in time). It’s a great hobby with plenty of side benefits, I hope he continues
