Love all the pics--was the third one to last of an ibis?
And I too want to know what the goose-like looking creature is.

Yeah, that's why I stopped. When I tried to shoo it out of the road it just sat on the speed bump and stared at me. So, I took a photo of it. It sat there for a few minutes and then slowly waddled away.

I still have no idea what it is. I've looked at Geese and Duck pages and no description/picture seems to fit. It looks like a duck-goose-chicken.

Muggy, my husband is into waterfowl (he's a carver and is into nature, too), but he's never seen anything like that either. He said he'd try to look it up. If we get anywhere, I'll let y'all know.

Looks to me like a "Muscovy Duck."

We've got a whole large colony of them at Lake Ella in Tallahassee. Signs everywhere telling us to not feed them (everyone ignores that command) because they are "nuisance ducks" and produce a lot of foul fowl excrement.

Hey, guys (especially Shores):

I was wondering if you could recommend a digital camera. I am starting to get interested in some photography, but I don't have a decent camera. I also don't have a whole lot of money to work with (about $200). All of the pictures I see in this thread are very good quality. Is it possible to get something about as good on my budget?

Thanks

OK
Here's a waterfall with lighting inside at the Fontaine Bleau hotel in Miami Beach.
The second is of a little boat (80 ft) which you can enjoy for a mere $4 million

I have a little Canon Powershot that my spouse gave me, it cost a little bit over $200. I don't think my pix are as crisp as the others (although this might partly just be my lack of skills!)

Today we decided to take a walk on the beach. This is one of my favorite areas. Florida the way it used to be.
