St Petersburg

It's a friendly, laidback city (and not overloaded with tourists) with lots of art/culture, good restaurants, a great location near beautiful beaches and a vibrant downtown bordering Tampa Bay.

Lol. That's cute.

The best city in Florida is clearly Tampa.

Miami will always be # 1. The cultures, diversity, restaurants activities, and believe it or not if you are sickly in anyway or old, the have the best benefits to let you live the best quality of life possible. Keep your villages, one big association . I'm in Orlando and very happy here, but I retire going home .

Went to Lincoln Road for Halloween night, tiny. It was a blast.

My city is the best.. easily.. (very objective assessment).

Seriously, FL has so many nice areas, I don't have a favorite city, more like multiple locations but if I had to pick one it would be Stuart (nice little DT, close to South FL but not too close). Runner up would be the coastal areas in Pinellas/Manatee/Sarasota(too many cities to chose from).

Fort Myers or Cape Coral if you like boating. I lived near Orlando years ago, hated it. Way too much traffic and far enough inland that you got the heat without any ocean breezes. I liked Port Orange near Daytona and Sarasota is very pretty. Those are the only cities I am familiar with in Florida.

It's so nice to hear someone say something nice about Miami instead of bashing it.
It's the closest thing to NYC in Florida.

Really depends on what you are looking for... If you want to be right on a beach where you could occasionally surf... Orlando is not good

If you want to be able to live your life speaking only Spanish.... Miami is for you

If you want a larger city that is culturally Southern... Jacksonville it is

If you want a liberal smaller city not on the coast... Gainesville would be a fit

And you can find different places being what you want at different times in your life
