I'm sorry but I just can't resist:

Port St. Lucie

Because I live there (or will be living there after the house is finished)

In all seriousness, you are going to get a boatload of answers and a boatload of Florida bashers.

We chose PSL because we like the lower housing costs compared to Stuart or Jupiter etc...
Where we bought it is only 15 minutes from the ocean and 15 minutes from civilization. If we want to visit higher end dining and shopping, it's just a 30-45 minute drive.

Orlando - We think it is the most well rounded city in Florida, you have a bit of everything from theme parks to restaurants to nature to nightlife to shopping etc.

You won't get an objective answer (everyone will rule for the places they live in, for different reasons).

I get what people are saying about Orlando and I agree with that too. But I also really like Coral Gables.
And I don't get why people hate Miami so much. No one ever has anything nice to say about it.
