Are there any contractors in FL that use Styrotrim? I'm considering using their products and am seeking others' experiences.

I personally would never use it and it should be outlawed. When it burns it will give off toxic gases, and Styrofoam in the environment is a huge problem because it lasts a long, long time. It will not break down in the earth in anything other than glacier like geological time, and burning it sends toxic chemicals into the air, harms the ozone layer, and the rain brings those toxic chemicals back into the oceans and land. The earth is filling up w/ this stuff and it is causing great damage. Why support that? If you don't care about the earth, use it. I am responsible for my actions, so I don't. It's dumb to eat or drink out of it as well, unless you like cancer.

By the way, I worked for a research firm that contracted with OSHA and the EPA some 20 odd years ago on a study titled Hazardous Chemicals and Materials In the Workplace, compiling and correlating data from 5,000 different businesses we surveyed in the US. The study was performed so that we could go to Congress w/ our findings and have them revise the PEL Standards (Permissible Exposure Limits to toxic chemicals and materials). We were successful in this, and things are safer than before this revision.
